SHIMANO CRANKSETS VOLUNTARY RECALL
As of Monday, 2nd October 2023 Shimano has issued a voluntary inspection and, where appropriate, replacement on certain 11 speed HOLLOWTECH II cranksets produced between 2012 and 2019. The following models are affected: Dura Ace R9000, Dura Ace R9100, Dura Ace R9100P, Ultegra R8000, Ultegra R6800. This is also valid for any of these fitted with 4iiii Power Meters. Further guidance and whether your cranks are affected can be found: HERE on Shimano’s website. If you have any of the above, Shimano advise NOT TO RIDE until they have been inspected. As an authorised Shimano dealer Velo-Tech is able to perform the inspection, at no cost to the rider and can take care of any identified that require replacement. As inspections needs to be undertaken in the workshop, we cannot offer a mobile service for this , however, I can offer the usual collection and drop off service. - Bike frame and forks
- Wheel and tyre condition
- All gear and brake cables checked and minor adjustments made
- All bolts and fixings torqued
